Your musics, give them to me

I have a long weekend with not much to do. Give me new music to search for and download plz. I'm open to anything, lately I've been listening to a lot of random crap including Foo Fighters, Deadmau5, M83, Incubus, and Two Door Cinema Club. I've gotten bored with my library. GO

I saw Two Door Cinema Club a few weeks ago....they have an awesome sound.

My new favorite is Of Monsters and Men, although they might not be hard enough for your tastes based on what you listed above.

I pulled this thread b/c I know people had been crushing on M83 in it. They are my new favorite band. They are coming to Seattle in a few months and I am trying to decide if we should pull the trigger.

Silly, Oobs. I just posted Monsters and Men earlier in the thread. Guernica - you need to hook up the Oobs on your music pm's.

Pssh, like I go back and read threads that are a month old. At least I had the decency to link it! Also, I'm offended that you think I just heard about Monsters and Men recently.

Just bought tickets for these guys next month:

They are a local band, but Guernica was the one who introduced them to me last year.

Oh, and Oobs.....Monsters and Men just announced they also coming here at the end of March. It's a Monday night so I am still on the fence (hard to find a sitter to be out late and unfortunately, my husband likes the band too so I sort of have to take him with me).

Nice. I just found out the Head and the Heart is coming to Lawrence, which along with M83 is going to be eating away at my budget.

    Oh well.

YES!! You HAVE to go see Head and the Heart. I kept meaning to post that in this thread to tell you all to go see them in early March at the Granada (right?). They are also a Seattle band and have exploded over the last year. (they actually did a little gig at Lawrence High School for a music class in November 2010). The Lawrence show is the first stop on their tour. I've been crushing them for a while so it made my heart happy to see that. I am bummed because I want them to play a small venue here again but they keep opening for bigger acts instead (Death Cab for Cutie and Florence + The Machine just in the last few months alone). And they just announced yesterday that they are playing Sasquatch at The Gorge in May so I doubt they come back again soon. Sad sad.

M83 is also playing here in May but the tickets are a little high, IMHO. It's about $40 a head with ticket fees. I would love to see them but I don't think they demand that much yet. The Black Keys with Arctic Monkeys are just a few weeks later and I don't think we can justify both.

head and the heart would be awesome. My only complaint with some of these bands like that is the live set is boring. I saw Civil Wars a few weeks ago. It sounded incredible but bored me to tears. It was like standing around listening to the CD. I've decided I need the live show to be bigger than their music. The National was the same.

I got tickets to see the Avett Brothers again. That's a concert I always recommend.

That blows about M83. Tickets here are $15 for each show (I love you Lawrence).

Yeah, generally I don't go to these kind of shows, I usually only spend money on more "energetic" bands (Mutemath!). But hey, for $15 it's worth it.
